This adventure park is located in Baras, Rizal. Masungi came from the word "masungki" which means "spiked", pertaining to the shape/landscape of the limestones. In 1996, they started developing the place and opened it to the public on December 2015. The masungi total trail is 10 kilometers long. It's about 3-4 hours of walk to finish. This park is best for those who want to walk, meditate and relieve stress. Masungi Jagged Limestones The view from outside When we got there, we were amazed by the view of nature. At the entrance, they told us to sit and rest first in Silungan for a brief orientation and signed for the rules and regulations. Our tour guide is Kuya Jun, but in Masungi, they call the guides as the park rangers. Silungan *place for orientation Before we start, they provide us harness. Then the trail begins......... While walking, Kuya Jun pointed to this small metal web and gave us some trivia about sinkholes. First destination: Lambat ( net ) Before we climbed the net, we need to clean first our shoes. ( there's water and a brush behind for you to clean it. ) The purpose of cleaning it is to keep the net clean. Cloud rat Giant Metal Spider Web The second best spot in the park. Being there is so refreshing and breathtaking, because of the view from the top. This spot offers 360-degree view including the surpassing combination of Sierra Madre mountain and Laguna de Bay. Hanging Bridge Patak ( Raindrop ) Duyan ( hammock ) These is the best spot in Masungi. The Duyan is a perfect place to take pictures whether solo or group. At the end of the duyan is a cave. Yungib ni Ruben This cave is named after one of the park rangers who discovered the place, his name is Ruben. There's a wishing well inside the cave . stalagmites, stalactites and column Tatay The highest peak is about 600 meters above sea level. Nanay In these part, you can see a big stone which represents the logo of masungi. The crown of the king * logo of masungi came from this huge stone. Other interesting places to stop over. Bird bath Finally.... It's time to eat. They served us tuna sandwich, calamasi Juice and banana. Expenses: Entrance/Trail Fee: Php 1400 Van: Php 300 (10pax) How to go to Masungi? First, you need to book for reservation because they can only accomodate 25 groups per day. Minimum of 7 pax and maximum of 14 pax per group. Second, I suggest you rent a van for convenience because the place is quite far and not accessible. The travel time is 2 hours from Makati. http://www.masungigeoreserve.com/trailvisitrequest/ Policies:
