Boracay has always been the favorite beach destination of the Philippines. It has topped many lists of the best and loved beaches in the world. The sand in Boracay is so white and fine, making it attractive to tourists to swim even for the whole day. This is why tourists keep coming back to the island while some have considered buying properties there. For me, the best time to go there is from November to January because during summer, aside from having many tourists, there is also moss on the shore.
They say this beach is expensive but I think you just need to canvass and explore first. The below are some tips that you need to know when in Boracay.
Exciting activities we did in Boracay:
1.Island Hopping, Parasailing and Helmet Diving Boracay is also well-known for water activities like jet ski, scuba diving, helmet diving, banana boat, flying fish and more. We just got a package for island hopping, helmet diving and parasailing for only Php 2000.00 each per pax. This price is quite cheap already but can still be lessen if you're good in bidding. No need to book online for a certain activity, just walk around the beach and tour guides will offer you. Island hopping - already includes FREE buffet lunch. For snorkeling, you need to pay Php 20.00. Places we visited: Puka beach and Crystal cove.
Helmet Diving - they will give you CD with your photos and video in it for FREE. Contact number for the activies: 09177405938 (Renato)
2. Food Trip I guess food trip is very important in any destination. I have listed some of the best foods to try in Boracay.
D' Talipapa - a market that is selling seafoods. Outside the market, there are restaurants that offer services to cook any recipe you want. You just need to pay them Php 140.00 per kilo per dish including the spices and condiments. The market is located in Station 2. Jonah's Fruitshake - (Php 120.00 - Php 150.00 per shake). This is located in Station 1. Recommended: Real Coffee & Tea Cafe, Halowich, Boracay Toilet Restaurant
3. Sunset Watching I have gone to many beaches and saw many sunsets but this time I almost drop my jaw. Boracay sunset is really beautiful, as in I had OA reaction. The view is admirable, at the same time you will fall in love with the place.
4. Fire Dancers Not all beaches have fire dancers, but in Boracay they have this scheduled every night (9:00 PM - 11:00 PM). If you want to take pictures, just give them a tip, Php 50.00 will do.
5. Clubs The place is perfect for beach night life. There are lots of bars beside the shore. The price is quite affordable, same as the price in the city. There's a bar where tequilla is sold at Php 120.00 and Margarita at Php 150.00 per glass (regular price). They also have happy hour (6PM - 8PM) wherein drinks would be "buy one take one". The bar is located in Station 1.

How to get there:
1. Book your flight here. Cebu Pacific AirAsia 2. Book your transfer with Southwest Tours. (boat and van) It is more convenient if you book roundtrip door to door transfer. 3.From Kalibo to Boracay - 2 hours is the estimated travel time for van transfer and additional 15 minutes for boat transfer. From Caticlan to Boracay - 15 minutes boat transfer. *The airfare going to Caticlan is usually more expensive than going Kalibo. This is why some tourists choose to go to Kalibo airport instead.
Where to stay:
La Carmela de Boracay in Station 2 You can book your hotel here. *If you don't have much budget, there are a lot of Inn/hostels around. Most of the cheap ones are not in front of the beach, you just need to walk a couple of minutes.
